Choose Windows Backup for account-based continuity

Windows Backup is useful when your priority is keeping Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Videos, and Music synchronized to OneDrive and carrying familiar settings to another Windows PC. Microsoft also describes remembering installed-app pins, but applications outside the Microsoft Store may still require download and installation from their original providers.

The limits are equally important. OneDrive capacity constrains how many files can sync, and cloud synchronization is not a complete historical image of every partition, application, and local data location.
